Ingredients
- 2 tblspn plain yogurt
- 2 tblspn thinly sliced green onion
- 1 tspn dried mint, crushed
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1 medium cucumber, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 tspn dried mint, crushed
- 5 small pita bread rounds
- 5 lettuce leaves

Step 1
Combine 2 tablespoon yogurt, onion, 1 teaspoon mint, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a dash of pepper; let stand 1 to 2 minutes. Add lamb; mix well. Shape mixture into five 3-1/2 inch patties. Place on rack of unheated broiler pan. Broil 3 inch from heat until desired doneness, turning once (about 8 minutes for medium). Meanwhile, stir together tomatoes, cucumber, 1/2 cup yogurt, and 1/2 teaspoon mint; set aside, split each small bread to form pocket; place lettuce leaf inside; insert a cooked putty. Top with yogurt mixture.
