Ingredients
- For the crust and topping:
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 cup cold butter (2 sticks)
- 1 egg, beaten
- For the Blueberry filling:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 t. cornstarch
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. freshly grated nutmeg
- 4 cups blueberries

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar,3 cups flour, salt, and baking powder. Use a fork or pastry cutter to cut in the butter. Mix in the egg. Dough will be crumbly. Pat half of dough into the prepared pan.
In another bowl, stir together the sugar and cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Gently mix in the blueberries. Sprinkle the blueberry mixture evenly over the crust. Crumble remaining dough over the berry layer.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until top is slightly brown. Cool completely before cutting into squares. You can store these in the fridge.
