Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter (250 mL)
  • 2/3 cup icing sugar (150 mL)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (2 mL)
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (425 mL)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (50 mL)
  • 2/3 cup Milk Chocolate Chips (150 mL)
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts or pecans (125 mL)

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. In medium bowl, mix together flour and cornstarch; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in Chipits and nuts. Form into rounds of about 2 Tbsp (30 mL), or 1 Tbsp (15 mL) for small; flatten to 1/2 inch (1 cm) thickness. Bake in 350 degree F (180 degree C) oven 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Store in plastic container or cookie tin.
