Jay's World Famous Fried Chicken

This is Jay's seasoning that he has created for his fried chicken. It has a multitude of flavors and his technique of dipping the chicken in milk before the seasoning brings out the individual flavors of the spices.

Ingredients
- 1/4 - 1/3 tsp. thyme
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/3 - 1/2 can Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp. of basil
- 1/4 gallon of whole milk
- 2 - 3 Chicken Breasts
- 3 - 4 Chicken Thighs

Step 1
In a medium bowl, add the thyme, bread crumbs, flour, Old Bay, and basil. Using a spoon, mix together the spices thoroughly. Thaw the chicken pieces (if frozen). Add the milk to a separate bowl. Dip the chicken pieces into the milk and coat both sides of the chicken with the seasoning mix. Repeat this process for double dipped and seasoned chicken pieces. Fry the chicken in a hot Dutch oven pot until the chicken is no longer pink in the center. Place the chicken onto a paper towel lined plate for 5 - 8 minutes to allow the chicken to drain. Serve with potatoes.
