Ingredients
- one 22 pound turkey
- salt
- pepper
- butter
Preparation
Step 1
defrost in fridge for upto 4 days before event
set oven to 325 degrees convection
Wash and dry bird well, season with salt, pepper and butter and place in shallow roasting pan
Cook approx 8-10 min per pound to an internal temperature of 185 with a meat themometer. For a 22lb stuffed bird it will take approx 4 hrs in a convection oven. Baste once or twice an hour.
Remove bird and let rest on cutting board wrapped in foil.
