The Pepperoni Roll Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb bread dough, fresh or frozen (Rhodes is great!) shopping list
- 8 oz pepperoni, sliced thin (you could use a good salami too) shopping list
- 8 oz Mozzarella, shredded shopping list
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/4 tbs parsley shopping list
- Pinch of garlic salt (just a little) shopping list
- Prep time does not include rising time for the bread dough shopping list
- For a great veggie version, use pepperconi, olives, onions, peppers or whatever you like) shopping list

Instead of Pizza, how about a Pepperoni Roll? These are popular In West Virgina and I found these fantastic snacks while on a visit this past summer . A wonderful taste, with just a few ingredients..You can make your own dough of course, but I like it easy.
......so this recipe is a cinch to make. Hope you enjoy!

How to make it
Roll out on floured board to size of medium pizza. Spread pepperoni and mozzarella evenly to 1" border. Roll up dough like a jelly roll. Curve to form a horsehoe shape. Grease a round pan and place dough on pan, brush top and sides lightly with oil, parsley and garlic salt mix.
Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden brown. (check at 25..to be sure!)

most of my family is from west virginia and my grandmother used to make these all the time. After moving to Australia I'm rarely in touch with her. thanks so much for sharing it.
