Ingredients

  • 250 g butter, softened
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 c flour
  • 1/2 c custard powder*
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • *HEB stocks custard powder in the British Section

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, and add sugar little by little. Beat in the eggs one by one and beat well. Add the vanilla. In a second bowl, combine and sieve the flour, custard powder, baking powder and salt together. Add spoonfuls of these dry ingredients to the butter mixture. It will form a soft dough. Roll out the dough (you might need to add a little bit of flour )and cut out you your cookies. Do not make it too thin then they will be too dry.
Bake for about 10-12 minutes at 400°F on a greased baking sheet
