Cheddar DOG Treats

A treat my puppies absolutely love. Their grandmother brought them these for Christmas in 2009.

Ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup shredded cheese (mild)
• 1 tbls stick margarine (or butter), softened
• 1/3 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

In small bowl, combine flour and cheese. Stir in margarine until combined. Gradually add milk - just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times (dough is VERY stiff).

Roll dough into a 12 x 9 rectangle - flop onto an ungreased cookie sheet and score into approximately 36 strips (3" x 1").

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes until light brown. Turn heat off. Let stand in oven with door ajar until completely cooled.

Store in airtight container.

This sounds a bit complicated, but it really isn't!
