Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cups sugar plus 2 tbsp
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cups shortening
- 3/4 cups water plus 1 tbsp if needed.

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cut the shortening into the dry ingredients that have been mixed together.
2. Add the water and mix untill all ingredient are moistened.
3. Form into two balls.
4. Roll out each ball on a floured counter until the dough is about 1/4 inch thick or thinner !!!!!
5. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 until the edges are JUST slightly golden. WATCH CAREFULLY AS THEY BURN QUICKLY !!!!!
