Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen or fresh vegetables (carrots, onions, celery, brocoli , potatoes, green beans, peas.
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or margerine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 oxo vegetable cubes
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Cook vegetables if raw til tender and set aside. Use frozen vegetables as frozen.
In a large sauce pan, heat oil: add flour. Stir constantly for two minutes. Dissolve Oxo in hot water and Add with milk to oil and flour mixture.
Add seasonings.
Cook until thick.
Stir in vegetables.
In a 9 inch pie plate spoon in filling mixture and top with Fresh Biscuits, Drop biscuits or puff pastry.

Bake at 400 F for 20 - 30 minutes until filling is bubbly and crust is golden. If topping gets too brown cover with aluminum foil.
