Ingredients
- 4 dried figs
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper
- 12 slices fresh baguette
- 2 tbsp crumbled blue cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1.preheat broiler
2.trim tough stem from figs. slice each fig lengthwise into 3 slices and place in a shallow dish like a pie plate. Drizzle with oil and vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Let stand for at least 5 minutes or up to one day (I like to prepare this the night before or in the morning)
3.place baguette slices on a baking sheet. top each with a slice of fig, reserving oil and vinegar. Sprinkle fig with cheese. broil for 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve drizzled with reserved oil and vinegar.
