Ingredients

  • 50 caramels (14 oz. bag)
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg German Chocolate cake mix
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Set aside.


Grease and flour 9x13 pan.


Combine dry cake mix, butter, milk, and nuts. Stir until dough holds together. Press half of dough in pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust. Spread caramel mixture over chips. Drop rest of dough over caramels. Bake 15-18 minutes more. Cut when cool.
