Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 T. baking soda
  • 1/2 T. salt
  • 1/2 T. cream of tartar
  • 1 c.butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 c. sugar - 1 T.
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

*Blend*
Cream butter and sugar
add egg, vanilla and food coloring
add dry ingredients

chill 3 days - put dough in Reynolds wrap

keep in fridge until ready to work with - cut in half kneed until you can roll out. Make as thick as you want and then cut out with cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet.

*cook*
375 for 6 to 8 minutes
take off cookie sheet and place on rack to cool
spread on frosting and sprinkle with jimmies
