- ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2 ¼ cups sifted all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup finely chopped pecans

Step 1
In bowl, cream the shortening with the confectioners’ sugar until fluffy. Then beat in the flour, salt, and vanilla; next carefully fold in the pecans.
Shape into 1-inch balls; lay on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350º 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Roll at once in confectioners’ sugar; cool on wire racks; roll again in sugar before serving.
