I love this pie. It is one of my very favorites. There is something about the nuts, oats and coconut combined that gives it such a great taste.

Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Pie 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten(I beat them with a wire whisk)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (can use pecans)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs with whisk. Add remaining ingredients and mix well with spoon. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, increase heat to 375 and bake for 10 more minutes. Let cool before cutting. Enjoy!
