Ingredients
- Part 1:
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups sugar
- Mix well.
- Part 2:
- 4 tsp cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 cup Wesson oil
- Let come to a boil. Boil for three minutes and pour over part 1. Stir well.
- Part 3:
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (put soda in buttermilk)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- Add part 3 with 1 and 2. Beat at medium speed until smooth. Pour into greased, floured cake pan and bake at 325-350 until cake springs back, appx. 40-45 mintues.
- Icing:
- 1/2 cup Pet milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 tsp cocoa
- Cook over medium heat, stir well until sugar dissolves and starts to boil, then cook 1 minute, no longer! Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and beat a little. Ice cool cake.
