Ingredients
- Topping:
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 4 Tbsp melted butter
- 5 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp cream
- 2/3 cup coconut

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat over to 350F. Sift dry ingredients. Beat eggs with vanilla until thick and creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating after each addition. Add dry ingredients and fold in. Heat milk and butter to boiling point and add to mixture. Pour into greased 9 x 9 pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and spread with topping.
To make topping, stir all of the ingredients together over low heat until well mixed and sugar is dissolved. Spread on cake and put it under the broiler for a few minutes until the topping is brown and bubbly. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
