Ingredients
- 3/4 pound okra
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- flour in a bag
- oil for deep frying

Preparation
Step 1
Cut okra into half-inch slices.
1. Season buttermilk with garlic and onion salt.
2. A few at a time, soak okra slices in buttermilk until well coated.
3. Shake okra in bag of flour.
4. Keep slices separated.
5. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
6. Drain on paper towel.
7. Repeat operation until all is cooked.
Freezes well.
