Ingredients
- Ginger - 2in piece (cut into thin rounds)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tsp black peppercorns
- 10 whole cloves
- 6 cardamom pods
- 6 cups cold water
- 6 bags black tea
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup golden-brown sugar (packed)

Step 1
Lightly crush/bruise spices. Combine ginger, cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce to medium-low and cover. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat. Add tea and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags, add milk and sugar and stir well.
Serve immediately
