Fresh Basil Pesto

Ingredients
- ● 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed (no substitutes)
- ● 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (you can use the store-bought kind that's freshly grated in a jar)
- ● 1/3 cup pine nuts or walnuts (we like it either way)
- ● 1 medium-sized garlic cloves, minced
- ● salt aand freshly ground black pepper to taste
- ● 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients except olive oil in food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Slowly add the olive oil in a constant stream while the food processor is on. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula, then pulse again until well blended -- finely chopped but not pureed.
Store in covered container in the fridge.
Spread thinly on fresh French bread slices, then bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until barely crisp.
Also good tossed on fresh pasta, pizzas, etc.
