Ingredients

  • 3 - 14 1/2 oz cans chicken broth
  • 5 - 8" flour tortillas
  • 1 - 12 1/2 oz can of chunk white chicken meat (swanson's)
  • 1 - 5 oz can of evaporated milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Wondra flour (regular flour works just fine too)

Preparation

Step 1

Bring chicken broth to a boil.

While chicken broth is heating, flour both sides of flour tortillas to prevent them from sticking together. Cut floured tortillas into 1-inch wide strips. (Scissors work well to cut the tortillas.)

Add tortilla strips to boiling broth, stirring very lightly. (If using an electric range, having a second burner on low so the pot can be put onto the burner to simmer rather than continue to boil)

Simmer EXACTLY 17 minutes.

Dump in chicken and milk. Stir once and its done.
