Ingredients
- 1 C butter - softened
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 1/2 C flour - sifted twice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and extracts. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; resift and gradually stir into egg mixture. Divide some of the dough into separate bowls for different colored cookies. Choose the food coloring you want and add a few drops to each bowl. Place dough in a cookie press, and press onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Keep unused batter in refrigerator for easier handling. Bake 5-7 minutes. They should not turn brown.
