Ingredients

  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • salt
  • Ice Water - 1 to2 ice cubes in water must be very cold

Preparation

Step 1

*Blend in a Bowl*
Flour, Crisco and salt

*Another Bowl*
fill 1/2 cereal bowl with the mixture - add 8 to 9 spoons of water, make a paste

*On Counter*
Put the rest of the mixture onto the counter in a large pile - make a hole in the middle - add the paste - mix by hand until not crumbly - add more water if needed. Can put into the fridge before rolling out.

Break in 1/2 and roll from the middle out. Don't add flour unless dripping.

Put in the pie plate - if cooking poke holes with a fork and add pie weights. *cook* - until brown at 350 (10 to 15 min)

If making a covered pie -add ingredients and place rolled out crust on top - put some slits in the top to allow for steam to escape. *cook* according to pie recipe
