  • ½ teaspoon celery seed (not celery salt)
  • 2 tablespoons grated yellow onion
  • 2 ½ tablespoons white vinegar
  • ½ cup peanut or canola oil

Step 1

1. Stir the sugar, mustard, salt, and celery seed together in a medium bowl. Add the onion and the vinegar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Slowly whisk in the oil until well blended. Cover and refrigerate until the flavors meld, about 1 hour. (The dressing can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days. Whisk before serving.)
