Ingredients
- 3 cups of flour
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 1/2 tblsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp cram of tartar
- 3/4 shortening
- 1 tblsp butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cream
of tartar
2. Cut in 3/4 cup shortening and the 1 tblsp butter
3. Beat together 1/2 cup of milk and 1 egg
4. The fold in the rest of the milk
5. On a floured board, mix in amount of flour
needed to make mix doughy
6. Roll up and brush with egg wash (egg white)
7. Slice in 3/4 inch slices
8. Place on ungreased pan
9. Bake for 20 mins
