  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar for coating

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 large cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 cup flour and baking powder, beat until well mixed. Add remaining flour, water and vanilla. Mix well. Dough should be stiff. Stir in nuts.
Pinch off pieces of dough and form into finger shapes. Place on cookie sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Immediately roll in confectioners sugar. Cool on wire rack and roll again in remaining sugar.
