Ingredients
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 stalk celery, minced
- 5 cups clam juice
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups minced clams
- 4 cups heavy cream

Step 1
Combine the potatoes, onions, celery, 1 cup of clam juice, water, thyme, butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large stockpot. Heat to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are soft, about 20 minutes.
Stir in the clams and cook for 10 minutes. Add the remaining clam juice and the heavy cream. Cook until the mixture comes to a simmer, about 6-8 minutes (do not boil)
Serve immediately.
