- 1 cup sugar
- 6 T cornstarch
- 6 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 T lemon zest
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
- Pastry shell

Step 1
1. Prepare pastry shell.
2. In saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Stir in milk until smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Reduce heat, cooking, stirring 2 minutes more. Remove from heat.
3. Stir a small amount of mixture into eggs. Add eggs back into pan. Bring to a gentle boil; cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
4. Stir in butter and lemon zest. Gently stir in lemon juice. Cool to room temperature. Fold in sour cream and whipped cream. Pour in pastry shell. Chill at least 1 hour.
