Ingredients
- Apple Filling:
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (105-115)
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon oil or melted butter
- 1 egg
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3-31/2 cup flour
- 2 cup finely, chopped peeled apple
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 chopped almonds, toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- Combine above ingredients and cook, covered, over medium heat 5 minutes. Remove cover and cook additional 10 minutes until thick. Stir in almonds and vanilla. Cool before using in bread.

Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.
Add sugar, butter, egg, salt, and half the flour;
beat at low speed of electric mixer until smooth.
Stir in enough of remaining flourto make a soft dough.
Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise one hour. Punch down. Roll into 15x7" rectangle.
Sprinkle apple filling evenly over dough. Roll up jellyroll fashion. Pinch seams and place seam side down in loaf pan. Cover and let rise one hour.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Remove from pan, cool completely on wire rack.
