  • 1 1/2 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp relish
  • 1 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 sesame seed hamburger bun
  • Additional half hamburger bun
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 slice american cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Prepare two 1/8 pound patties. Because the are so small, it may be easier to make and freeze them in advance.
2. Combine mayo, relish, and tomato sauce. This is the "secret sauce".
3. Toast the faces of all three buns on pan over medium heat.
4. Use the same pan to cook the beef patties for 2 minutes on each side or until done. Lightly salt the patties.
5. Build the burger by spreading half the sauce on the face of the middle bun, and the other half on the face of the bottom bun.
6. Stack the lettuce on the sauce on the bottom bun.
7. Stack the cheese on the lettuce.
8. Then stack the middle bun.
9. Stack the other beef patty on the middle bun and top off with the top bun. Enjoy.
