Fillet Mignon with Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb. mushrooms
  • 3 tbs. butter
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream, heated
  • 6 filet mignons
  • 6 slices French bread
  • 6 tbs. butter
  • ½ cup scotch

Preparation

Step 1

Slice mushrooms and sauté in 3 tbs. butter. Add flour, salt, and pepper to taste. Blend well. Stir in warm cream and keep warm. In another pan, sauté filet in hot butter. Sauté bread in 6 tbs. butter in another pan, turning often to prevent butter from begin absorbed. Arrange bread in a ring on a well-heated platter. Top with filet and arrange the mushroom cream mix on stop. Stir scotch into the pan juices and boil 1 minute. Pour sauce over meat.
