Ingredients
- 1 1/2 # Fontina, 1" cubes
- 1/4 C good olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp fresh diced thyme, minced
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 1 crusty French baguette

Step 1
Preheat broiler and position rack 5" from heat.
Distribute cubes of Fontina cheese evenly in 12" cast iron pan. Drizzle on olive oil. Combine garlic, thyme, rosemary and sprinkle over cheese and olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and place under broiler for 6 minutes, until cheese melted, bubbly and starts to brown.
Serve family-style, right out of the oven in the pan with the chunks of bread.
