Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
- Seasoning for rib:
- tomato sauce (del fratelli) 3 (28-ounce) cans
- tomato paste (hunts) 3 (15-ounce) cans
- water 3 (15-ounce) cans
- sweet basil 1 tablespoon
- oregano 1 tablespoon dried
- salt 1/4 teaspoon
- pepper 1/4 teaspoon
- sugar 1/4 cup
- baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- sweet Italian sausage 2-3
- western ribs 2-3
- onion 1 medium chopped
- olive oil
- parmesan cheese 1 heaping tablespoon or grated romano
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- italian seasoning

Preparation
Step 1
In a large pot, place all ingredients, (except onion, meat, seasoning for ribs, and baking soda)
Heat on low 2-3 hours, stirring often
After sauce heats:
In a large skillet heat a little olive oil, cook onion until just tender, add to sauce
In the same skillet add a little olive oil
Season ribs
Add ribs and sausage to skillet, brown on all sides
Add baking soda to sauce and stir in completely, sauce will froth up some, but will go away. the baking soda is removing the bitterness from the sauce
Add meat to sauce, and continue to cook another 3-4 hours on low stirring occasionally
If sauce is to thick, add more water, if it is to thin add more cheese
Serves approx. 25-30
