Ingredients

  • 1 Oronoque Pie shell & top crush
  • 3/4 C Sugar
  • 5 C sliced Fresh Peaches
  • 3 Tbl Flour
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbl Butter or Maragarine

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 425.

Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt; add to peaches. Sprinkle on lemon juice and almond extract. Pour into bottom crust. Dot with butter or margarine. Wet the edges of bottom crust and adjust top crust to fit. Seal well and flute as desired. Cut slits in top crust.

Bake on cookie sheet at 425 until edges start to brown, then lower heat to 375 and continue to bake until crust is well browned and filling bubbles.

*Can also be made with crumb topping instead.
