Ingredients
- 1 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 ½ cups flour
- ¾ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1
Melt the chocolate. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and then add the sugar. Slowly beat in flour mix. Put ½ the dough into another bowl and blend in chocolate. Divide each section of dough in half; you should have 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate pieces. Form each piece of dough into squared off log 6-8 inches long. On foil, place 1 chocolate and 1 vanilla log next to each other. Brush each with water. Remove dough from the refrigerator and cut into ¼ inch slices and bake at 400 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes.
