Ingredients
- 1 c butter, softened
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 tsp hot water
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 2 c quick oats
- 2 c chocolate chips (or 2 c any combination of baking chips - butterscotch, chocolate, white chocolate)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat ovent o 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs. Add salt, vanilla and soda with water - mix well. Add flour. Stir in oats and chips. You can add chopped nuts if desired.
Place on baking sheet - about a Tbsp of dough. Bake for about 10 minutes or until edge start to brown. Cool on wire racks.
