Ingredients

  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 tsp hot water
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 2 c quick oats
  • 2 c chocolate chips (or 2 c any combination of baking chips - butterscotch, chocolate, white chocolate)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat ovent o 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs. Add salt, vanilla and soda with water - mix well. Add flour. Stir in oats and chips. You can add chopped nuts if desired.

Place on baking sheet - about a Tbsp of dough. Bake for about 10 minutes or until edge start to brown. Cool on wire racks.
