Ingredients

  • 3 3 3 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup shoyu
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1 1 cup sugar
  • 5 5 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1-2 1-2 to tablespoons cornstarch, to thicken
  • 1 1 1 star anise
  • 1 1 1 small daikon radish, chunked (optional)
  • 1 1 ounce) can 1 (8.25 ounce) can pineapple chunks, juices drained

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients except for optional daikon and pineapple in a 5-6 quart slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours. Add daikon and stir into sauce. Top with pineapple. Cook for another 1-2 hours on low. Serve with hot rice.
