Ingredients

  • TOPPING:
  • 8 oz. medium shell pasta
  • 10 cups boiling water
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (optional)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 lbs wieners, (about 12) cut into 6 pieces each
  • 1-1/4 oz envelope of dry onion soup mix
  • 10 oz. can of condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 14 oz. can of diced tomates, with juice
  • 2 tbsp hard margarine (or butter)
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta in boiling water, cooking oil and salt in large uncovered pot for about 10 minutes until tender but firm. Drain. Transfer to ungreased 3 quart casserole.

Add wieners to pasta. Stir

Combine next 5 ingredients in medium bowl. Stir vigorously until well mixed. Pour over pasta and wieners. Stir gently.

TOPPING: Melt margarine in small saucepan. Add brea crumbs. Stir until well mixed. Sprinkle over pasta mixture. Bake, uncovered, in 350 oven for about 45 minutes until hot. Makes 9 cups.
