Ingredients
- 1 package dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 2 cups lukewarm milk
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter

Step 1
Use a very large bowl because the dough rises a lot.
Sprinkle the yeast over the warm milk and stir in very large bowl.
Beat the yolks only and add them to the yeast mixture. Add the vanilla to the mixture.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and sugar. Add these to the liquid. Stir in the melted butter.
In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until they are stiff. Fold these into the batter. Let stand in a warm place until it doubles (approximately 45 minutes or more).
Cook.
