Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • Cream until fluffy
  • Sift together
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp or more ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • Stir into molasses mixture.

Step 1

Form 1 1/2 inch balls, roll in sugar. Bake 350 degrees for 12 minutes

Let cool on pan until collapsed. Move to rack to finish cooling.
