Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup all bran buds
- 1 1/2 cups bran flakes crushed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour (can use half wheat)
- 1 1/2 ripe mashed bananas

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Mix together the boiling water, buttermilk, and baking soda. Then add the creamed mixture. Add the bran buds and flakes. Finally, add the salt, flour, and banana. Fill greased muffin tins to 2/3 full. Bake 15-20 minutes. Batter can be stored in frige up to three days so can make fresh muffins every day. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen muffins.
