Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c flour
  • 1 stick butter or shortening (1/2 and 1/2 ok)
  • 1 t Salt
  • Ice Water

Preparation

Step 1

Process butter/shortening and flour with cutting blade until crumbly
With machine running add 2-3T ice water until a dough starts to form. do not overprocess. Process in pulses until it holds together.
Put in ziploc bag and chill before rolling out on floured surface

Notes: Butter improves flavor, shortening increases flakiness
