Sweet and Sour Meat Balls

Ingredients

• SAUCE:
• 2 pounds ground meat or veal
• 1/2 cup bread crumbs
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. pepper
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 onion
• 16 oz. can tomato sauce
• juice of 1 lemon (2 tablespoons lemon juice)
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 1 cup hot water
• 1/2 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1 Mix the bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, and sugar together with the ground meat.
2 Saute onions for sauce, add rest of sauce ingredient.
3 Form the meat mixture into small balls and cook in the sauce for 1 hour.
