Ingredients

  • butter 1 1/4 cupss softened
  • sugar 1/2 cups
  • brown sugar, dark 3/4 cup firmly packed
  • eggs 3 larges
  • whipped cream 4 tablespoons , or sour cream
  • maple syrup 1/2 cup
  • vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
  • flour about 6 cup
  • baking powder 2 teaspoons
  • cinnamon 2 teaspoons
  • salt 1 pinch

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars.
Beat in eggs, cream, maple syrup, and vanilla.
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In three batches, beat into wet ingredients.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
Then roll into fingers roughly the size of your pinkie, and lay out on ungreased baking sheets in the shape of a crescent.
(If dough starts to get sticky, chill it for a few minutes)
Bake cookies until they're medium brown underneath and on edges, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Let cool on wire racks.

Note: When cooled can be dipped half way into chocolate if desired

Makes about 90 cookies
