Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1-1/4 c boiling water
- 1 c quick cooking oats
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- Frosting:
- 2 - 3 oz pkgs cream cheese
- 3 c powdered sugar
- 1 c nuts (or coconut) in or on top
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Place boiling water, oats and butter in a mixing bowl. Cover and let stand 20 minutes.
Add remaining cake ingredients to oat mixture. Mix well.
Bake in a 9x13" baking pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let cool completely.
Mix all frosting ingredients. Spread over cake and "stick it in your face" - Jim Cavaletti.
