German Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 double pie crust
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 lb apples, sliced thinly
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Step 1
Prepare pastry. Line a 9" pie plate with half pastry; fill with apples and sprinkle with lemon juice and raisins. Combine the cinnamon, nutmeg and granulated sugar in a small bowl; sprinkle over apples. Blend brown sugar, flour, and butter in a small bowl until crumbs form. Mix in pecans. Sprinkle about 2/3 of mixture on top of apples. Roll remaining pastry for top. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 mixture over top of pie crust. Cover. Crimp edge to seal. Bake at 450 for 10 min, then 350 for 40 min.
