Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 2 tbsp lukewarm water
- 2 cups buttermilk

Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients and cut into shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and mix in buttermilk. Add dry ingredients to yeast mixture. Roll dought about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired size. Allow to rise for 30 minutes (opt. may bake w/o rising). Bake in preheated 400 degree oven in lightly greased pan for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
