Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 - 2 pounds beef (chuck roast, stew, etc.)
  • small head of cabbage, shredded
  • 3-4 carrots, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • parsley
  • celery, 2 or 3 stalks, sliced
  • 2 or 3 large potatoes, diced
  • small can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 small package vermicelli or small noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Cook meat, onions, parsley, celery, and tomato sauce in about 2 quarts of water or combination of broth & water for one hour. Add carrots, cook for 15 minutes, add potatoes, cook another 15 minutes. Add cabbage & cook another 10 minutes. Add noodles last and cook another 10 -15 minutes.
