Recipe from my friend, Katy Kendall, in Harrogate, England. Mom got this recipe when she lived with me in England.

Ingredients

  • 2 C Self-Rising Flour
  • 4 Tbsp of Margarine
  • 1/2 Tsp of Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 Tsp of Bicarbonate Soda
  • 1/4 C Sugar
  • Milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat Oven to 450 Degrees. Lightly grease Cookie sheet.

Mix dry ingredients. Rub Margarine in with hands until well blended. Add enough Milk until doughy.

Roll out on Floured board until 3/4" thick. Cut out with cookie cutter and place on cookie sheet.

Bake for 7 minutes on Top shelf of Oven.

****Add Raisins to dough rolling out if desired.******
