Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados, seeded and mashed
  • 2 TBS freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 1/2 cup minced red onions OR 3 shallots finely diced
  • 2 plum tomatoes, chopped OR cherry tomatoes work well
  • 2 TBS minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced, or a couple shakes or hot pepper sauce (I used Frank's hot sauce)
  • 2 TSP minced garlic
  • 1/4 TSP each salt and cumin
  • pinch freshly ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combined all the ingredients in a med bowl. Cover and refriderate until serving time. Guacamole will keep for about 3 days in the fridge if well covered.
